In simple terms setting your intentions means to put out into the universe what you want. Setting your intentions are not fly by night, impossible wishes. Your intentions are the things you want to achieve that aligns with your purpose. So, how does one go about setting their intention? You simply state it and then you make a plan to achieve it. Sounds easy right? It is. Setting our intentions is easy it’s the work, the discipline, the hustle it takes to make it happen is where we fall short. Just like the quote says, “the road to hell is paved with good intentions.” We can want to be on purpose and do great things but if we don’t commit 100% then our intentions are for not. Let’s be clear intentions and goals are not the same thing. The intention is the outcome, the goals are the blue print of how we will achieve them. INTENTIONS AND GOALS take ACTION! WHEN we take action is just as important as setting the intention. What’s the point of stating an intention, creating a plan and then doing nothing about it? That’s like being hungry, making something to eat and then not eating it. I am the queen of jumping into things without always having a full plan. Sometimes things would work out and sometimes I would fail spectacularly. However, I never would have known the outcome if I waited for the perfect time, the perfect conditions, the right amount of money and etc.
I don’t make resolutions, I set my intentions. Resolutions are like wishes and wishes seldom come true. But intention with action guarantees that I will be on purpose. Will you be on purpose in 2018?
Be Blessed and Fabulous!
