I decided to take a look at my vision board again to see what was missing. As I stared at the board, then at the goals I had written it finally clicked. I wasn't making progress because all of the goals I had written were SAFE! There was no challenge to them. I knew what the expected outcome would be. For example, I want to increase the likes on the Accept Your Fabulous FACEBOOK page from 150 to 300. That's safe and can be easily done. Right? Yes it can. There is no challenge in that. My new goal is to grow by 500 on FACEBOOK, Twitter, Instagram, and email subscribers. That's a challenge because it's across multiple platforms. Here are three reasons you should not play safe. 1. Playing it safe will not grow you. You will remain in the same place no matter how much you achieve. 2. Playing it safe is a product of FEAR. Yes, fear! When we play it safe we accept our current condition. Not playing it safe requires you to be bold, to take a leap of faith, to trust in your abilities. Safe says no way are we going to do that and fail. 3. Playing it safe will rob you of your dreams. Don't let your dreams die because you are safe receiving that steady paycheck.
I leave you with this quote and encourage you to get out of the safe zone and go all out in chasing your dreams. Be Blessed and Fabulous!
“When you settle for anything short of the best life God wants to offer you, then you have been tempted to remain safe and the accountability for not changing your life becomes your prison of regret.”
