I am so excited to see another year and share it with all of you. You have no idea how happy I am for a chance to reset. Can I be honest? 2016 was not my year! I sucked and my year ended with me having surgery and being home for 6 weeks (shout out to the housewives I peep your game and I like it). I did not achieve everything that I wanted to.
I was talking to the mama of FABULOUS and asked what were her resolutions for the new year. She simply replied I don't have a list I just want to DO BETTER. I asked her what that meant because that's a vague statement. It simply means that she is going to do better with those things that mean the most to her. Once again, the mama of FABULOUS hit the nail on the head. Ladies, we do not need to come up with these ridiculous resolutions, we just need to DO BETTER! See, I just saved you from that gym membership that you were only going to use once! I know what you're thinking it's easier said than done, right? Well you are wrong! Let me tell you how to start.
1. Change your attitude! If you want to lose weight you must change your attitude about it. Don't think of what you have to give up (fried foods vs healthy, water vs soda...) but think of what you are gaining. You are gaining a healthy body which will make you look and feel better. #bringing sexy back
2.One vs 100! Instead of trying to do better with a lot of things all at once pick one thing, master it and then move to the next. Here's the thing when you have too many irons in the fire something is liable to get burnt because you weren't focused on that one iron. Start your list with 5 things or less that you want to do better at and cross them off one at a time. When those 5 things are completed please come help me with my list!
3. Be committed! Most of us fail at our resolutions because we don't commit to making the change or completing the task. Doing better requires a commitment on our part. You can't hope, wish and pray for this. You have to put some skin in the game.
I know what your next question is, what's on you do better list? Yall so nosey but I'll tell you anyway! My first do better item is to be more consistent with putting out excellent content such as this. Next, is to be more engaging with my subscribers who I have named VFP's -Very FABULOUS People! Did you know I'm live on Facebook on Wednesday's at 8:00p.m.? Well now you know. I'm dropping motivational and encouraging words every other Wednesday starting January 11th. I can't reveal everything I'm setting up for VFP's but you will see and hear more from me. Yes, I know Christmas came early in 2017 and you’re welcome. Finally, I'm getting my money right. I'm profiting from my passions. Yall, I have money issues. I really struggle with making money from the things that I love to do. So there you have it, my do better list.
