When the bottom drops out of your world you must decide where you want to land; on your feet, your back or on your head. What do you mean by that? I'm glad you asked. Some of us have a natural ability to land on our feet no matter what life brings us. Lost a job, no sweat you got another one within months. Some of you fabulous women are so savvy that you have opportunities waiting before you even knew you would need it. That's landing on your feet.
Many of us have experiences where life decides to be a bitch and snatch the rug out from under us and we land on our backs. Now some of us are landing on our backs because of KARMA. You know who you are. Life can also throw us for a loop when we unexpectedly lose a child, parent or sibling. Maybe you played the game of life and you lost. These experiences are set up to teach us a life lesson. Here's the interesting thing about landing on your back. You have a choice. You can lay there or you can get up and move!
You ever heard the expression you done fell and bumped your head. I know that's not just a southern expression and if it is my northern friends your welcome to use it. We often land on our heads when we make life decisions based on emotions. When we land on our heads that means we do stupid stuff that does not help us to get our life back on track. For example, you lost your job and you take your severance money and spend it on a new wardrobe for your next position that you have not interviewed for or obtained. You broke up with your boyfriend because he's abusive but you take him back because he tells you he can't live without you. Trust me he can! Landing on your head is the equivalent of running around in circles. Life is trying to tell you something when you land on your head. The message is stop and get your life!
I know what you're thinking, how do you know where you're going to land? That's the thing about life you never know but you can be determined to land on your feet.
Be blessed and fabulous!
