1. Lose weight
2. Get organized
3. Spend Less, Save More
4. Enjoy Life to the fullest
5. Stay fit and healthy.
I must admit that each of those have been on my resolution list at one time or another. Sometimes I did ok but most times I didn't make it past January. A resolution is like a promise you really don't intend to keep. It sounds good when you say it but when it comes down to committment not so much.
I no longer make resolutions, I make goals and I slay them! Goals are better than resolutions because goals are things that I am actually excited about achieving. For example, one of my goals this year is to offer one on one Purpose Sessions to help YOU set and achieve your goals. Whose really excited about getting organized? I'm excited for the first 2 days of January and then I'm over it.
Here are the FABULOUS rules to setting goals:
1. Be realistic about the goals you set. Don't make a list of 30 goals when you know you will only achieve 5 of them. The point is to set goals for what you want to achieve not everything under the sun. 2. Set a drop dead next to each goal. Again this needs to be realistic. If you want to stop smoking then set a goal for 6 months not 6 days! 3. Celebrate your success after each goal is achieved. This will keep you motivated to keep going. 4. Check your list for progress. If you have not taken action on your goals it's time to regroup and make sure those goals are still what you want to achieve.
I would love to hear about your goals for 2016. Tell me about them in the comments on the blog site or on the Accept Your Fabulous FACEBOOK page.
