As women we are gifted with all three attributes. I believe our strength comes from us simply being women. It's not a physical strength but a strength that kicks in when our backs are against the wall. It's a strength that allows us to do what's right even if it means discomfort for us. It's a mental strength that allows us to overcome overwhelming obstacles. It's a strength that says girl get up and keep moving. Our strength comes from the almighty cause honey ain't NO MAN birthing babies!
The dictionary defines courage as the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear; bravery. Courage to me is that decision, that choice you make between doing what you want to do versus what you know is right to do. Courage is facing difficult situations, not running or hiding from decisions that will cause us pain or to be uncomfortable. Courage is walking away from toxic relationships. Courage is going back to school after you dropped out. Courage is saying hey life, bring it cause no matter what I'm going to be ok.
Wisdom is an accumulation of our life experiences! Wisdom is the lessons that we had to learn the hard way. You know when mama said don't touch the stove cause it's hot but you touch it anyway. That burn is wisdom! Wisdom is knowledge. Knowing who you are and what you won't compromise your values, morals or belief systems for. Wisdom is being a blessing to someone else through your words, through the telling of your story. Tell your daughters, nieces, sisters, cousins about what really matters in life. Give them hope for a blessed future but most importantly tell them how smart, beautiful, and amazing they are. Give them the knowledge so that they too can stand in their own strength, be courageous and have wisdom to pass to the next generation.
Until next time, be blessed and fabulous!
